Bodegas El Grial is the culmination of a project begun at the end of the 90s when our family decided to revive the wine growing tradition in the valley of Burgà (El Perelló). With a small 27 hectare plantation, we are the only winegrowers and producers in the Baix Ebre region.
Our philosophy is that to make high-quality wine you have to start with healthy, mature grapes that are small and concentrated, thus providing aromatic complexity and a balanced body. We’ve chosen the growing techniques best suited to reach this goal, using high-density planting to reduce production and increase quality. The peculiar climate of the region, with strong northern winds and a soft summer sea breeze, gives our wines a certain character and expression making them unique and special.
As trained biologists and oenologists, we posses great love for nature, which is the reason we decided to opt for organic viticulture on our land. Our wine is certified by the CCPAE, the official body that controls organic farming in the autonomous community of Catalonia.
In short, the commitment undertaken by Bodegas el Grial is based on the sustainability of producing quality wine and respect for the environment, thus giving our products an altruistic added value.
